Interesting relief, but I am not a fan of photographing other art. Perhaps a tad more contrast would help the technical part of this image.

Pursang: I'm not sure your statement about the constrast. I tried to push the with but it looked overexposed. In my opinion, the very bad point of this shot is the bad focus. Thanks for your interesting feedback too :)

Did you carve this?
It looks old or weathered or brushed,
bringing out the differing densities in the grain.

Very creepy. And I like how you arranged it, taking it so its eyes appear more like they are looking away from you.

mysight: I wish I was able to carve this. Nope, this is a carving I saw in a little church near Rouen. Actually, it's the place where Emma Bovary, the famous Gustave Flaubert's character were supposed to live :)
