face in the shot, yes. But this says "eating" to me. Hmm, was that theme suggested? I think maybe.... anyway...great shot..love the way you framed this.

The theme is actually not "face" but "faces" -- which you wouldn't guess judging from the majority of the submissions this week.

And, by the way, the sixth definition of the noun "face" in the Oxford English Dictionary is: "The countenance as expressive of feeling or character; a countenance having a specified expression."

I'm not usually a fan of several images placed into one, but I think it works here. Plus it looks like in the last one that the wee guy is enjoying that chocolate bar :D

I love this collection - great lighting, emotion and compatibility between shots. It really tells a story. You're right smkpl, the theme was "Faces" plural, but the description read: "a shot of a face," allowing for variations on the theme. Of course, it also said: "Humans, animals, toys, man-made..." but I noticed that the human/animal images didn't fare so well in the critiques. Anyway, great job!
