Interesting perspective. Back lighting and lack of contrast takes away from this image.

You know, for all the images of them just standing around--they move quite a bit. I intentionally got down at eye level with the ones checking out the ground to try and capture their unique eyes for this theme (just shot Friday).

Originally, you could see his/her leg in the shot too, but it seemed to distract so I weighed that against the unusual position of head-down, and cropping won out.

And, this was one of the more pale birds. Most of the color seemed to be in the underwing and tail feathers, which were brilliant.

I rather liked that I got one of the flock to look directly at the camera.
