this does seem to have lost a bit of quality though in the crop/zoom/processing. its the only thing letting the image down :)

Im tempted to say its too sharp, almost brittle, but that kind of suits the subject. Nicely detailed, but a little over saturated

the photo does look better in the flickr post.. did you do anything to it here? or is it just having to save it at 400kbs?

Just saving it down probably made it go a bit sour. always seems to happen when I post a "texture" shot. Well I've learned my lesson this time. No more of that riff raff! :)
