An amazing image, beautiful, surreal and fascinating technique.

I was trying to do something different after the recent trend of 'fake tilt and shift' shots and subsequent criticism. This is just several layers/exposures blended and slightly transformed with the centre area unblended.

What's important to me is that the image expresses the way I see things, how it feels, in this case, to walk alone through the city.

This image reminds me quite a bit of the Michel Gondry film "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." It captures the feeling of certain dreams perfectly: Being trapped within this space, not being able to clearly distinguish everything around you but knowing that something is real because _you_ can see it clearly. There are certain things you can remember more clearly than others from dreams and I think this image, this technique really works here because it captures this feeling.

This is a wonderful application of the fakey. I love it. It looks well executed, surreal and very much like a dream. Great job.
