love the texture brought out by the sweat. i like the subdued colours in the background bringing all my attention to the subject. out of curiosity where was this taken? (the clothing makes me think Ghana)

Lorissa, this was taken at a wedding ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria. This is a portrait of one of the drummers. I have a few more on him and his colleagues on my blog

Very nice. I'm glad it's in color. It's cropped a little too tightly, I'd like to have seen more of his head, but it's a good shot nonetheless.

I love it - contrast is great. My only suggestion would be to lasso out the subjects head and maybe bring the shadows up a notch or two? Could also be my monitor.. Nice work!
