Nice composition, lovely child portrait. There does seem to be some digital noise evident, maybe some re-processing could help this, depending on whether you are processing from RAW.

I think I eliminated as much noise as I wanted. The original was taken with tri x film pushed one stop so the grain was quite evident and I didn't mind that. I was hoping to keep some of that quality in the electronic repro, and I really don't mind the presence of som grain/noise in some images of mine. But thanx for the input.

This is a great composition! The drape frames the head nicely, and the two arm lead the eye to the face. Really great.

I find the blown out shoulder, too white eyes and teeth ( IMO ) and lack of detail in the right side of the face quite distracting though.

He has a great expression and you've captured something important about him.
