The shot has impact and it did stand out from the rest, I just don't know if it stands out because it really doesn't have very much relevance to the theme.

@Patrick: If you're refering to the fact that it's an animal and not a person it basically boils down to the question if only people shots qualify as portraits. In this community the answer appears to be "yes" (only people).

@Ana: No, it's not. This is one of two pigeons we found lying on the ground as if they had taken a strong hit. The other one recovered after a few minutes and stood there, dizzy. The fate of this one we don't know, as we couldn't wait longer.
