I find this image very alluring. Perhaps because it's a slightly vague portrait -- there's not a terribly strong sense of who this woman is. But, I think that's actually part of the appeal to me. It's enigmatic.

The composition here is quite beautiful...the division of the frame in black and white is very striking, as is that eyelash. Excellent.

Beautiful shot. I would say that you should not crop out the top of her head but that is irrelevant since 1) it is dark in nature, blending with the background, and 2) the focus and power of this image is her down angled face. Nice work!

I love this one. It might have been better to get rid of the light spots on the right side, but it may also have made the dark space seem too large. Wonderful photo.

What I see here is a mystery, and it draws me in very much. This is the picture I like best in the theme. And, focused_geeks, I just came back from smudo's site, and it seems to be candids of a bartender in Taipei.

This is a perfect image. There is narrative. This woman could be in a bar next to you or have travelled the world on a quest. A perfect exposure and my favourite is the bokeh in the background. Lovely, I found this after checking your latest featured. Great use of black and white...
