Is it meant to pixelate like that? If so it's very 1970's. If not you need to adjust the resolution on what is probably a good image.

Very Picasso - now this is where pixelation works. LOL

I keep waiting for the photo to finish loading ...

I don't like the heavily pixelated effect.

Doesn't work for me. Tells me nothing about the subject. Looks like the original could have been a good portrait but the 'effect' really does nothing for me.

This is interesting. I would have liked one whole eye to show clear. That would have more impact. Nice, over all.

phototext said 818 days ago:

Zorilla, it is meant to be that pixelated.

Ana, yes, after looking at it for a while I thought much the same, a touch more visability of the underlying image on the left hand eye (her right)and it would have been stronger.

ArneG,

Cheers !

To me, the non-"cubified" version would likely be far, far better. While I like some forms of manipulation of photographs.... I think in this case the effect minimized the drama instead of enhancing it.

I hadn't seen this shot before. The eye peering out of the white is hypnotic. The pixellated effect is compelling.
