I really find this portrait striking. The subject's eyes are wonderfully penetrating! Also, the slightly soft focus and the grain definitely add to the photo's mood.

If that is the feeling that you were going for in this, and if she is one or supposed to look like one, then you nailed it.

I gave high marks for relevance and impact, even though on a personal level I don't care for this type of image.

Looking at her makes me worry for her health.

Whew...glad she's a model, and I really hope she doesn't look so sickly in real life! I assume that is makeup and lighting that gives her eyes and face that malnourished, drug addict look. She does look boney and deathly thin. Tell her she needs to eat more!

That's the mom in me talking. LOL (I'm pretty thin too, but not like that. I am a runner, so I am very muscular and I eat well too.)

Very much a dramatic shot. To me, there is a look of Judy Garland during her later stages of life in your model's expression. The look says to me, I am alone and I am ill.

I didn't see the the heroin chic thing with this, not at all. Even if I had, it's dramtic and that's the theme so I wouldn't have cared. It's a great portrait with lots of drama especially in her eyes.
