While the photo is ok, it looks too edited for my liking...

I like the scene but I don't like the effect you put over the picture really much.
I think it would be enough if you only worked with the colores.

I love the stark colours but dislike the overall soft feel to the shot

Nice image with color, composition, etc. Seems a bit too soft in some ways though but I'm not sure if that was your intent or not with the post processing. That sky is way cool and the diagonal line of the field balances it well.
