Looks more like a polar bear than a dog! To much over exposure across the dogs back

I am captured by the decking, nearly as much as the dog.

Like the feeling of the light bathing the dog, but processing with perhaps a digital filter is so strong that it distracts me rather than being "invisible" and enhancing the image. For instance, the halo around the muzzle looks so strong in my opinion. Downward gesture of the head with the foot being so far back also looks a bit weird to me and reminded me of a seal, which took away from its "dogness". I would love to see a more natural rendition of this sunlit scene which would probably evoke a stronger reaction to this lovely animal for me. Thanks for sharing.

An interesting composition and body language of the dog, but the processing doesn't work for me. I do like the play of light and dark; I think I might have liked an even more pronounced contrast.
