nice shot of a well fed lab

This image just doesn't hit me at all. Sorry.

My main points of ctitique are that a) the viewpoint is too high, b) there is too little light on the left side of the face and c) a slow shutter speed could have added a sense of movement to the scene.

Since the dog appears to be coming toward the photographer, waiting a little while for a bit of eye contact may have been worthwhile.

It's just a snap to me, sorry.

I am enjoying the layers in the photo, but wonder if the focus on the dog could be more crisp?
