Folks,
This is a follow-up to my featured photo of the same dog on the set where this was shot. This was the cover shot for a St. Bernard Sports catalog (it's the owner's dog).
This is a scan from the printed cover because I couldn't put my finger on the original transparency, so the quality if a bit dicey.

I'm not crazy about a square crop myself, but there is/was a Hasselblad ethos of using the entire film area and not disposing of some of it in order to make the image area either horizontal or vertical.
In this case, however, the square crop was part of the design of the catalog.
