High relevance, but that light is way too harsh.

This shell (I think it's a shell) appears to have been painted. It has a great spriraling curve that draws the eye into the center of the image.

I think this high-key rendering could have been more effective as a low (or lower) key illustration as the whites appear blown out on my monitor, and that's a shame because you've got a good thing going here.

pity the left-hand side is blown out. apart from that, it's very suggestive :-)

too much of this photo is blown out. as well, what's the difference between curve, and curl? i feel this is more of a curl.

Flatline said 579 days ago:

Close, but not yet perfect. Think about cropping the left a little to move the spiral off-center, while also removing the empty triangle at the bottom left. That might add more tension to the shot. Then you could also move the contrast higher, and bring more variation into the grey tones on the right.

Good concept for the theme, but the shot itself is ruined by overexposure. The composition could be improved by making it perfectly centered or more off-centre.

a bit to over blown, but very curvy!

Nice curve, but the exposure is far too hot for me. More DoF is also called for.
