actually the faces transfer a sad feeling. it is an installation in the jewish museum in berlin. these faces stands for the murdered jews in the WW2. they are made of cold and heavy steel and lie on the ground where everybody can walk on these steelfaces. when you walk over the faces, they make a really cruel cold sound, steel on steel, which gives you a contemplative feeling.

... and now creepy in a not so 'yay' sort of way. makes me think of the museum in DC in which the ground is paved with bricks from the ghetto, and the 'hall of faces.' Touching.
