This would be relevant if the theme was religion, but the description clearly calls for churches because of their lines, angles, etc.

This doesn't look like a church to me. It might have the window painting but, looks like a store. I find it funny that the door says,"jesus christ is lord" and right under it, it says,"buy 2 pieces underwear get 1 free".....lol

Hmmm... I find your criticisms/comments to be somewhat unwarranted. However, similar to a remark you left for me in "old":

http://www.weeklyshot.org/theme/old/response/9/

"This appears to address a definition of [church] that I'm not aware of."

Kind regards,
Jason

Jason: This is the main entrance to a baptist church located in the back room of a general store in St John's, Antigua.

I spoke to the owner/pastor who said that it was his mission to bring Jesus to where people could find him easily.

It sounds liks a good idea to me. I'm sorry it doesn't conform to your idea of what a church is.

zorilla,

It's not my idea, but the topic said: "This week's suggestion comes from Nick who says: Churches have great lines. angles, colors, and people."

I'm sorry, but I agree with what Justin writes (above), "This would be relevant if the theme was religion, but the description clearly calls for churches because of their lines, angles, etc"

Don't dish out the criticism, if you can't handle getting some yourself...

Regards,
Jason

Seems like a storefront, not a church, but the message is there...?

nattfodd said 349 days ago:

Pretty funny, but I think some more PP would have helped a lot to convey your 'message'.

A bit grainy.

Ana said 349 days ago:

is this a church?? I didn't know churches sold underwear. neato!

zorilla said 349 days ago:

Ana - yeah, and just like in the days of Noah he's doing a 2 for 1 deal.

I do like their art-work.
My eyes keep wandering into the store.
Not a bad thing to me.
I wanna shop around in there!

On one hand, I really like because it varies from what everyone else is submitting. There are many who believe that " a church" exists with people, and not with a specific building. However this is also a storefront and the only thing that says "church" is the God-related verbage on the front door, which also happens to sport advertisements for underwear and exercise books. In the end, I gave it high marks because it's different and funny.
