I think the silhouette coming up through the center works well, given the background architecture. A composition such as this is difficult to balance and you did a nice job of handling that.

this is a very relevant shot..
I think I'd like to see more side to side, instead of so much of the long side (up and down) of the cross.

Wow, this really made me stop and look, at first I wanted to see detail in the Christ, but then I realized this was the back of the crucifix. Very strong impact.
