I looked at this picture on two different computers, just to make sure I wasn't missing something. It seems to follow in the recent trend of photographs in this theme that are hard to identify, and thus hard to quantify as broken. I see there's a crack in something here. But what is it? Does this crack mean that the object is broken, or do these sorts of objects routinely have these cracks in them for some purpose?

All these questions come to mind when rating relevance, impact and composition. As for technique and image quality, I think these technical aspects are great. I just wish I had more to see here.

@kadenajack: The post processing maybe made it more difficult to identify the primary object. It is a poorly repaired rail. :-)

A rail! I would have never guessed that in a million years. I was thinking it was a close-up of the Liberty Bell.

The textures and colors are great though.

Cool shot, great tones, and I love the amount of detail here.

This makes me want to know more.

I would never have guessed a rail. I thought it broken bricks on the side of a building or a fence. I think that's why I liked it so much, because it left so much to my imagination.

I love the colors, tones and textures in this photo, but must agree with the comments above. I'm didn't rate this, although I came back to look a number of times. I was trying to make up my mind, then missed my opportunity. I would have rated it highly..sorry.
