Nice subject, but I think the image quality is a bit lacking. Either low-res, or just way over sharpened.

The resolution was low, but the result is as I wanted it to be; a burning red almost abstract with somewhat of a photogram feel to it.

it is a photo, but the idea came definitely out of the photogram world.

I definitely love the effect! One more question: why not a square crop? I don't think the dead space at the top really adds anything.

Also, there's one TINY white pixel in the middle of the space to the left of the leaf! WHY CAN'T YOU BE PERFECT!?!

The tiny white pixel. Yeah, I noticed it and wanted to fix it before upload.. But how do things go, my son comes in with something, I forgot about it and there you are.. To late.. Oh well..

As for a square crop, yes.. I think it would work too.. Just a choice.. Nowadays I often use 16:9 and I try to experiment a little more with formats and ratios..
