Hi Ana...there isn't really much more to see other than more pavement and an empty road. This bus shelter is brand-new and see what's happened to it - I think there's more broken here than just the glass.

this was a big accident and thousands of pieces of glass is the result. I do not like the composition

Broken, check! but what is broken? This would make it a lot more interesting if you would let the viewer know what exactly was or is going on!
Just a thought...

Same blue as #54. The make a funny combination.
Not merely brokon...shattered! 5 for Relevance. Was this shot just for this theme?

thanks King! I walked past this a few weeks ago. It's in an area that is being regenerated, but the locals don't seem to value being given nice new public transport shelters that benefit all of us. I though that the hard plastic seat clearly said 'public transport of some sort'. You can see that the first glass panel is still intact and that the second one is spread around on the pavement. So I tried to condense what had happened in two elements - seat and glass. Showing the whole shelter wouldn't have made it any clearer to me, but I made the mistake of not taking my audience into consideration.Composition: 2.29 :-)

Hi, Nynke. Your last comment (about your audience) is probably correct. I don't have any trouble with the composition and understood right away what I was seeing--but I'm just one of 13 raters.
Now if I had taken this photo, ratings cynic that I am, I probably would have put myself in the photo--just the legs would do--and scattered broken glass (or whatever it is) over myself to look as it I were at the scene of a mugging--anything to get a laugh along with my low ratings--or someone in their underwear sitting on the seat would do, barefooted, with feet placed gingerly on the shards.
Sometimes I think you are too sincere and honest in your photography and that approach is not fully appreciated by folks wanted to get walloped with impact and over-saturated with Relevance...and therefore your ratings are not as high as they would be if you were to simply slap us around a little bit--photographically speaking.
All in fun! :>)

I always try to steer away from the obvious, but that can mean that I choose the wrong image to submit :-) I'm not looking for features, or an audience, but really want to feel that today I'm better than I was six months ago. I also lack a certain creativity in how I look at things and document them. Putting myself in the picture would never occur to me! But I will try next time!

...so find a street person, pay them $5 (equivalent) and ask them to pose. Or simply mug them and put them in the photo. That's what I'd do.
