I'm constantly amazed at how many images on Weekly Shot remind me of some WWII video games I play from time to time. This looks like an old bombed out building in Stalingrad which I've had to defend against Nazi tanks and troops. The only thing missing from the video game version is the snow.
Since the sky is blown out anyway, I think I might have cloned out the building sticking up in the right hand corner. I like the space on the left though since it lends a little perspective.
Nice work.

Very nice though that portion to the upper right of the frame (bridge, not sure?) certainly detracts from the overall feel.

This really is broken! Ruined. Nice subject but maybe the composition could be better?

This old building's not long for this world. I'm sorry to say that I find this photo to be weak on the technical side (over-sharpened) and I think, although some may disagree, that it would be enhanced if the big, blue arc were not there on the right. A good find, though...eye-catching and bold in its presentation.

@Ana: Thank you! Yes, I see your comments in many photos. This is great! Unfortunately, I'm commenting not all photos, because haven't not enough free time (even for upload new photos to my photoblog) :(. Also, supposing the language of WS is Russian, I should write more comments...
@kadenajack: You are right, this is a gringing mill building in Volgograd (former Stalingrad). This ruined building keep untouched from WWII to show new generation the fear and horror of the war... Thanks God to you played only in the game, not the real battles.
@SeekingFocus: In the right-upper corner you can see a roof of the new building - a museum of the Stalingrad battle. I decide to stay it on the photo.
@Mini-Amateur: Thank you!
@King: I agree with you (about over-sharpened)... Thank you.

No wonder it looks like the building in the game. (One of the Call of Duty series I think) Looks like maybe the game designers used this exact building as a model for their map in the game. Cool!

When I refresh the page, the comment is repost twice... Even if the message-field is empty. Sorry.

I sent one of my friends this page link, and he confirms that this is in fact the same building from Call of Duty. I love when they get the history right in those games. Incidentally, I like this image too.

I'm rating AND commenting on your photo. Seems the courteous thing to do here at ws, don't you think?
I really love this building. What a wonderful broken place.
