I especially like the steam seeming to come from within the ground. Did you maybe try this in black and white? I think that might add to the drama here, with the right touch of contrast and dodging/burning.

Just a thought.

Thanks guys, this image is actually from Centralia, Pennsylvania. It's a (basically) abandoned town which was destroyed by an underground mine fire in the 60's. The fires still burn today, and will continue to do so for quite some time. It's a really amazing place.

I don't think the person adds anything though. If you had another exposure without the person I think this would be stronger. It's an amazing image regardless. High marks.

Yeah it's a really wild place. Anyone from the area should visit, it's a photographers paradise. The movie "silent hill" was loosely based on this town.
