I like the posture and setting for this down and out fellow. You've shown broken quite well. The picture is too contrasty for my taste though. I feel like I should be able to see some details in his face, but in this picture he could be in the witness protection program.

I think this might benefit from a crop to the right. The background seems a bit distracting. Other than that, a good take on the theme, and nicely executed.

Hmm. Interesting. Broken life? Broken society? Broken youth? I don't know if I'd be thinking that outside the context of this theme. But with the notion of BROKEN in mind, then I see it. Not bad.

It's interesting to me how many people have posted broken people (broken souls, broken lives, broken dreams...no broken human bodies yet, but two broken figures, so far). I had planned to create one for my second shot but have changed my mind.

How many others have thought of this type of shot? Not a criticism, just curious about how much this concept is shared among W.S. contributors.

This image stirs mixed feelings. I think that grafitti artists are proud of and excited by their work, so this guy is probably not the artist. On the other hand, the homeless sometimes are drawn to isolated places, but this guy doesn't look so very run down, either.

It's a very good photograph, though--the way the photographer has placed the model (selfie?) and his/her sensitivity to the light and shadows and the way the composition takes advantage of all of these elements.

High marks.
