tattered and torn. sort of like the country. the colours seem a bit aqua! even the white is aqua!

Great!
The strong saturation suits it well!
High marks!

This is great. It's got me laughing and crying at the same time. Interesting color cast, but not bothersome. The flag has a PacMan look to it.
Well done, high marks.

Very nice. Works on the item/ nation symbolism very well. Nice one.

Oh, what a great one!
Do we know why/how this flag got this worn? I don't think it's typical with the Americans that they let their flag get in this bad condition...
Anyway, a great photo with exceptionally live colors. I guess it was taken with a long zoom so no wonder it's not fully in focus. I love it.

Thanks for the kind words.
I found this flag flying in the bad part of town in South Bend, Indiana. I think the flag was in front of a business that had gone defunct. The company moved out of town and nobody bothered to take down the flag. That must have been a long time ago.

This is great. I didn't rate or comment the first time I saw it, but I knew it was bound to be featured. Strong imagery and great colors (processing).
Only one little quibble... did you try a square format? Maybe that would help eliminate some of the dead space, and would add even more impact. Just a thought.
Nice work.

Like SeekingFocus, I didn't rate or comment on my first look. Why? I don't know. Colours are great here. For some reason I really like flag shots with an unnatural, processed sky. It's a great find and definately fits the theme.
I think that in this instance the dead space works given the very interesting subject but in a case of can I have my cake and eat it too, I would also like to see a square format for the same reasons as SF. So if I did rate it then it would have been high.

I think more ripped or torn when I see this, but still relevant. I love the colours. Has a cross processed feel about it. I'm not sure about the composition, just feels a little too centred maybe.
Overall though, I really like this. It's strong, and it's stark.
