Where can you find a boarded-up Casino? My hunch is that this is in the south of England, on or ner the coast, but that's purely a guess. The grain and harsh tones complement the boarded and shuttered old building.

this is actually in the US, in asbury park, new jersey. a booming beach-side resort town in the early 20th century which went ka-put in the 70s/80s, and this casino has been rotting away since.

oh, and a bunch of scenes from 'the sopranos' were filmed here at the casino & on the boardwalk.

This doesn't so much say "big" to me - more like "damn, the casino closed down!". I really like the atmosphere of it and sense of an untold story behind it. Is the tilted horizon deliberate?
