This hits me quite strong on a personal level. Trying to look at it objectively, I think it could be a stronger image. There seems to be a lot going on. My eye isn't finding a spot to land on, so to speak. Nonetheless, the notion of BIG does come through.

Next to that potted plant, this Buddha doesn't seem too big.

Thank you for your feedback. I struggled with this image because I have one that better shows its size - with two people standing next to it - but they and the image quality detracted from the overall image. It is more of a tree than than a plant. Though it was the feeling not merely the physical dimension of the statue that made me submit it to this theme (my first here at the WeeklyShot!). This Buddha is in Lahaina on Maui and is said to be the largest of its kind outside of Japan at more than 12 feet high and 3-1/2 tons. I have another shot of it, with the mountain setting playing a prominent role, on my photoblog (image 41), if you have any interest in a comparison.
