JimiThing...lol! not at all, some of the buildings are blue, green, red, yellow, orange, purple, ivory, etc. ...but i find it interesting that you mentioned that. made me smile!

Tedi17, I'd recognize that skyline anywhere! Nice shot. I just thought it funny that the building in the middle seemed to jump out at me, taking the theme to the next level.

Very nice. Boy, that building really pops out at you. I might have cropped just a little more at the bottom, just about the level of the cross in St. Patrick's.

Nice contrast of the lighter building against the darker ones. It makes it a nice subject for B&W.

I like the tonal range, but to me it doesn't stand out from the many similar city shots I've seen. Then again, maybe I'm missing something fairly obvious. Is that a helipad on the building in the f.g.? And what city? New York?

i've noticed the comments (on several images and themes - not just mine) tend to overlook quality of the image.
it doesn't matter the city, it doesn't matter that you've seen it a million times.
i'm confused about the comments on some of these images, some seem to be just rude with no positive feed back. we're all working together to help one another, right???
there are several master photographers that only photographed certian cities, objects, buildings, etc. with a unique style.
get over it people and let's learn from each other.

Its a shame to have missed the church in the foreground, when the background is just so-so

@Tedi:
I hope you're not offended by my comment, but if so please consider that there was/is no offense meant. I'm simply expressing what I feel about the image. It's not noteworthy. To me. Might be to you or others. But not to me. It's not a rude comment. It's simply one person's observation. And I am interested to learn more about your intention, which is why I said "maybe I'm missing something," and why I asked about the city.

oh no, not offended at all. actually, it has nothing to do with my images. i've only been practicing the art of photography (seriously) since june, i've virgin new. i'm in my second photography class (advance) and learning photoshop.
i've noticed on this sight that people state there personal likes and dislikes but not constructive feed back. like on an image.. i think it's a boat for this theme...someone told that person.. "this is your best"...what kind of constructive feedback is that.
like the person that mentioned on mine, "it's a shame you missed the church" i didn't, you can clearly see the church on the bottom left AND i have other images with the church as the subject. and i wanted to focus on the center building because the white stood out.
you comments were fine. i would ask you... are you comparing my shot with 'similar city shots' if so, where are they so i can see what i'm doing...or is this sight about rating per the topic???
it's all good, i'm learning ...and it appears others need/are learning to.

Perhaps I am reading too much into this one... but is that really one white building surrounded by black ones?
