the best part about this is the wet curl and the shadow it leaves on the skin.

Frozen in time, that is...hee hee. I think the shadows are a bit harsh on the face, making the expression less impactful....but that slobber is completely in focus.

A little too soft and the shadows are killing me but great idea. Wish I could see the eyes as well.

I have looked at this image quite a bit before commenting and rating. I think this image had real potential, not to say it isn't a good capture - getting a shot with the water drop like that, the expression on the child's face and in focus to boot all took marvelous timing - but with the child's eyes in shadow and no catch light it is hard to really gauge the expression. I also think that if the top of her head had been cropped I might have focussed more on the water droplet. Still this is a wonderful capture.

the drool and the distant eyes make this a rather unpleasant image
