For what this subject is, I'd say you missed a lot of it's potential, IMHO. The best is the tonal range, the worst is the lack of "focus" of attention, my eye goes everywhere and nowhere...

Theres something about this I dont like. Its a good subject and composition - I think it may be the dof, I wish it was longer. I know that wouldnt then be the same image - but thats the closest I can get to describing it

Hehe, I guess there were some who thought it was my image - I submitted one here many themes ago that featured a very similar glass chess set :)

But, as they can see - it's not me :) (Which might explain the high quality of the pic...)

I find the focus on the queen a very clever and good decision. I like the out of focus "white" pawns and queen on the right, altho zorilla is right about the headache :)
