Very fake looking collage... The star trails, at this resolution, are very noisy, almost like they weren't shot continuously?? The moon is obviously way out of proportion to everything else. Sorry, this is not appealing to me.

Yes this is very obviously a composite. The tree and stars are a single 75 mins exposure (breaks in trails are caused by cloud) and the moon is taken through a 1800mm focal length telescope. Just a bit of fun.

It is interesting to hear the different opinions as I've always had really positive feedback to it in the past.

I guess it has just not to be taken too seriously as it is intentionally over the top, surreal and un-believable. At least it is not another dodgy HDR image that look much more fake that this to me :-)

I love this. I'm not sure how gazdi can defend a low relevance score. The theme is Best black&white and this is indeed black & white.

Sure it is manipulated and a composite, but it's a well executed one. Wish I had done it myself.

@kadenajack (and @AbsolutelyN): As I understood, subjectiv wanted to get b&w shots, one per post. This is clearly a collage, that's why I gave 2 for relevance. That 2 comes from the not that hard b&w conversions. All the other scores I gave was so high, because I like this post as it is - a wonderfully done collage of great shots.
