Wonderful fine focus here. I like not only the balance of the bird, but also the good compositional balance of the frame.

Dave_Mac, it does look like a fish, although this bird is only about 5 or 6 inches long, so it would have to be an awfully tiny fish! We do have a pond and the river just a stone's throw away, and the bird did fly off in that direction to get food, so I suppose it's possible.

mysight, my husband makes the birdhouses from the old barnwood we have in the garage, and I agree that they fit in perfectly with our environment. I really love them.
