The depth of field here looks artificial... but is better done than some I've seen. Still I think it detracts from the image rather than adds to it.

The shot was done with a 100mm Macro lens. I set up a little lighting grid and background for a rainy weekend shoot. This (and a series of other scale model cars) were printed at 16x24 inches for my two toddlers' room.
