The fact that there are two living beings, sort of takes away from the "alone" factor of the theme. gorgeous shot, and excellent in all other areas.

Sorry. Dogs are excellent companions. When I see a person with their dog, they are definitely not alone. Perhaps "lonely" due to other things not evident in a photographic image, but with a dog, you are never alone.

love that dash of red and the setting is so beautiful. it would have said "alone" to me more without the dog. i love dogs and a walk in the snow with one wouldn't be very lonely for me personally.
