Why the grain :-( ? It looks like photoshopped grain and not natural grain, am I right ?

I like the image, although the grain is too much for me. Certainly fits the bill though.

This sounds so incredibly picky saying this - but I really love this image, except there are just a couple of dark dots near the figure which flick my attention away from him, and its annoying me :P They are both above the horizon line, one very close to it to the left of his head, and one a bit further up to the right. Sounds so picky talking about distracting dots, but that is really what they are. I still love the shot, just wish they wern't there knocking my attention away from the surfer :)

Hmmmm. This is tough. Personally I like grain. I think it give photos a really interesting quality. But in this case there is almost too much grainy sky and it becomes distracting. It has an interesting painterly quality. I definitely like the response to the theme and think it would be stronger with a different crop.

I really like this shot. Reminds me very much of the Guinness Ad. The black and white works very well with this as does the grain. Nice job.
