nice take on the theme. i like where you are going with this one. i think if you zoomed out a bit to capture more of the scene it would feel more "alone". perhaps a little less bright might find some effect as well.

I'm always pleasantly surprised by these kinds of scenes. The one flower leaps out. It is nice as is but I might try bringing out the yellow in the background flowers to have a connection. This might even work better in vertical, to see more of the stems.

A fun image. I find the stone fence in the background a little distracting. I wonder what it would have been like with a shallower DOF.

The yellow bulb stands out by virtue of its difference, but I don't get the feeling of alone. The image seems a bit oversharpened. Nice colors :-)

Thanks for the comments everyone. You pretty much sumemd up the way I feel about this shot, which was taken long ago with my crappy old Nikon Coolpix.

I get it. I think its clever. I think it could have been shot from a different angle to create a stronger perspective.
