I don't even know why I like this, but I do. Is it the guy's expression? the falling snow? the introspective quality? It appears to be a high-quality image, as well. Tell us about this.

I am not sure what you tried to accomplished with the finishing but those dots are distractive. Sorry.

I like this as a portrait. The falling snow is a nice element and gives it a little sense of movement and depth. It's not working for me as alone though. Just because he's the only person in the picture doesn't automatically qualify in my opinion. The tightness of the shot implies an intimate position with the photographer, which though he/she is not seen, plays into the subject's surrounding and lessens his aloneness.
