As far as relevance...I am having a hard time finding it. I understand the flag to be symbolic of a United Nation of people. So, that said - he is not alone.

i wish i could see more of this officer. maybe moving the camera/zooming out would help him feel more distant, more alone. the closer the photo, the less alone someone feels. try to capture that distance.

The image relevance maybe there, but the picture leaves me cold, tonally, and with regards to the composition.

This one doesn't fit the theme very well for me. You've framed him alone, but it doesn't feel like he truly is. The composition and depth of field are great though. I really like the image, but not so much for alone.
