a toilet. huh. technically this a great shot. actually its pretty cool. I just... was surprised by the toilet in the woods.

kadenajack said 752 days ago:

I see the toilet sitting by itself back there, but you sure did make me work for it. Were all the foreground trees really necessary?

JIMJIM said 752 days ago:

A really really really strange location !!!

JIMJIM said 752 days ago:

...but ok for the boys ;-)

This is my third submission in this theme. All three have had a humorous element. I've decided that the theme does necessitate pathos or preclude humor. Has anyone smiled yet?.

This was photographed from the fenceline on a neighbor's property using a telephoto lens. This was the best perspective. I think the foreground trees add to the sense of seclusion--what little seclusion there is.

Thanks for your comments.

For those who are interested in such things, with 13 ratings:
* Relevance: 2.54
* Impact: 2.71
* Composition: 2.79
* Technique: 3.31
* Quality: 3.08
* Overall: 2.886

If a photograph that illustrates the "Alone" theme must include a serious human being, from now on I'm going to post only semi-nude photographs of beautiful people (men & women--that's guaranteed to get high ratings) or ballerinas in various illogical situations (sorry Pursang!).

You think I'm kidding?

He forgot to put the seat down! I would have like the whole seat to have been showing, but otherwise, this is a cool shot. Funny stuff!

Is that your throne, King?

King said 748 days ago:

@mikesphoto
People are always making fun of my name. :>(

pursang said 748 days ago:

I'm not quite sure why women always want to seat down Ana! At my house I have a sign that says, 'Girls, please put the seat up after you're done with your business.'

King - ballerinas like to go to the beach too you know. I know you're not kidding, so if you try to buy tickets to the SF Ballet, they have your name and won't sell you a ticket. They'll send you over to Oakland.

@pursang
I'm honored. This is the first time I've been on a "do not sell" list. However, I don't have to go to San Franciso to find ballerinas willing to be photographed in odd situations.
