I don't know the constraints of position for this shot, I think I'd prefer to be further right and not have the cars in the shot. Composition aside, the image captures the theme.

I'm not a big fan of pictures like this. Apart from not really saying "alone" to me, I think its a really lazy way to tackle the homeless subject. I think you would have been better served to wait until he was awake and then ask him if you could take his picture - asking him may have come at the end of a long intersesting conversation. That way you might have caught some of the character of the man.

This is a strong documentary style image. The image tells the story well with the inclusion of the elements around the edges of the frames. Even if he isn't alone, and it appears he may not be, they definately still would be. I'd hate to be this poor chap and since it evokes that type of reaction in me I'd have to say that this is an excellent image.

That's sad. However it's interesting that both the homeless guy and the parked cars get such a prime view of the river.
