I think I know what's going on here, but it's hard to tell. Is the little boy an orphan? Is he a foster child? Who are the adults standing behind him? They're well dressed. Is this a funeral? If so, why is the woman wearing a name tag? This picture raises more questions than it answers for me, which is why I didn't rate it higher.

I'm emotionally attached to this as I am a part of this memorial service every year. As I began to rate and comment on other images I realized that I should have looked at this photo with the same critical view. Even before I came back to read your comments my opinion of my own photo had changed, I agree with everything you folks have said.
First lesson learned; Objectivity, Thanks!

I like the intent. The focus is a little soft. Feels like a zoomed-in pic that's been cropped, but that's okay.
