Isn't a lone screw just masturbation under a different name?

This bolt is alone. You shot and processed it well. So, by strict definition, this is a great shot.

However, it doesn't reach me emotionally. There are millions of dropped bolts scattered around the globe, and we could shoot pictures of all of them, but so what? It the grand scheme of things, who cares?

Don't get me wrong, I think technically, this shot is top notch. I guess I want it to be more than that though.

Excellent photograph. Love the contrasts and focus.

Composition and relevance is excellent, but this just doesn't have a whole lot of impact for me.
