I think I would have cropped out the cloud as it shifts my eyes away from the focus. Like the image. To me there is nothing more alone than being among a crowd and yet apart.

I'm sure I've seen this one before and likely commented on it then so I'll leave it be this time but I am interested in reading the comments of others to see their take on how this fits into the wide ranging description of this "Alone" theme.

Dynamite! I remember this from a previous theme. I enjoyed it then...this time it seems better. How alone that one on the left feels. As the others rush off, fleeing the sinking island, he stares...at the cottony puffy clouds...pondering its cottony-ness.

I find the fact you've re-posted a shot interesting in light of the discussion over at http://www.weeklyshot.org/theme/alone/response/14/

It seems an especially good example of what an image says...brought to life by the "relevance" category.

Oooooops! Now I see what you mean, dunny. It isn't the same pic. Just goes to show how closely I studied the first one. I'm embarrassed!! Well...ahem...at any rate...I also find it funny to discover I left a comment on the other one.

I don't know how well this fits the theme, but I do like the idea that one of these guys has taken a moment out to appreciate the view that we can't see.
