Nice image, but I think I agree with King. However, that bluish/purpleish sky is fantastic. Was that the original color, or did you acheive it through processing. I am curious because the result is spectacular.

King & Jarrett this theme, as detailed, was so wide I was actually going after the meditation side of the theme description. After reading the Google group "Read the Description" post I thought I'd take a stab at one of the sub-themes. I actually think this theme would have been better as Alone with no description outside of that as it is very, very wide as presented and makes viewing and rating images more difficult and more subjective. I guess we will all have to think about the description as presented more then just the main theme as we vote for themes in the future.

Actually when I'm alone this is something I like to do, just pause somewhere and think a bit at the end of the day but that doesn't matter in the plain context of the image as viewed but it's why I call it "The Thinker"!

The color is completely natural and the scan represents the actual color off the slide, and actual conditions, very well. This was post sunset when taken.

@Dan...I just left the following comment for another photographer. My apologies go with this comment:

"Ana's thread on the current theme on the WS Google Group got me to rethink the theme, especially in regard to the theme's description, which I find to be very broad. That being the case, I can no longer argue the relevance of this photo.

Apparently a lot of folks are rating and commenting without taking into account the very broad definition of "Alone" in the theme description. I'll be more careful in future ratings and comments."

@King- no apologies for comments with constructive thoughts left on my images are ever necessary from you or anyone (unless someone makes a short crass comment to be solely ignorant of course- which thankfully I haven't seen on any posts of anyones lately).

Matter of a fact I enjoyed your viewpoint. Deep and philisophical but interesting and thought provoking. After all there is always a photographer in the process and at what one point do we really photograph an image of someone being alone? Still chewing on that one. Might make a good article/essay some day.
