Powerful shot. I like how you've cropped out the faces of all of the passers by, it adds to the feeling of loneliness.

The framing, the chiaroscuro, the shadows of the trees, the long hair falling forward, the guy's dedication to going all the way, and the emotional tug (e.g., there but for the Grace of God go I), make this a powerful image.
