I like the idea of this...I only which there were a way to see a bit more inside the cells. I'm guessing it was a tight fit? Maybe a bit lower perspective, too....

Absence of liberty - I like it. I think a different camera view might have been a bit more powerful, at least in the context of the theme (too much roof and beams here), but I really like the dark gloomy tone. High marks.

If the prisoners were in the cells then they would be absent from the world. If they are not in the cells then they are also absent. Good one. The choice of a high angle is unusual and creative, give a different look.

A very "moody" image. I am assuming the "absence" is from the lack of a prisoner in the cell? Or perhaps from the lack of life in the prison? Overall an interesting, albeit uncomfortable image.

Another high ISO Alcatraz shot? I like it a lot, but think a lower point of view would improve it, with two converging lines left to right.

Good picture. Looks like a retro documentary.
