I have been looking at this wondering about the use of grain and the what you were trying to achieve with it - I personally don't mind it but I don't think that it adds anything to the shot, unless it was used to camouflage poor quality. Very nice composition and nicely seen in terms of relevance.

I really like the framing in this. It's a bit noisy but sometimes, that's not a bad thing.

I knew I was going to get - ahem- grain comments. :)

The grain is simply a natural effect of using very high iso film. Tmax3200 to be exact amplified by shooting handheld indoors in the MMA.

If you take a half a moment to let the whole picture sink in - you will see that indeed there is a missing painting.

This would have been so much better if there'd been some kind of marks on the wall to show where the painting may once have hung.

As it is, it looks like someone has just plonked down a sign rather than removed a painting

wow .. nice catch. Love the idea here. did you make this picture grainy? or you took this with a camera phone? wished not too grainy, but this one still nice picture. high marks from me.
