The fact that you had to "point out" the face, makes this less relevant for the theme, in my opinion. In fact, if you left off the top half of this, and just used the bottom, (the three boats) you have one man that is looking back.

Sorry, but selective saturation doesn't work at all for me here, it feels way too artificial.

I like the idea but this photo just seems to have too much going on. I am not sure why you would single her out, she'd not doing anything that would seem to warrant it. Plus she is so far back in the in the photo, it just doesn't seem to fit. Perhaps cropping this in to only include a few of the boats would help.

why did you choose this lady to be 'the face' ?

If you have to do a selective saturation to show us the "face" then all you have really is a "crowd"...just MHO.

That's certainly a lot of people...and they're all in boats. On a serious note, I don't think the selective color really draws out the face of the lady. I'm giving good marks though because of the uniqueness of the crowd shot.

I suppose that is one way to get someone to stand out in this photo

Why did you pick that woman out in particular? There seems to be no reason for keeping her saturated instead of any of the other people. Sure it makes her stand out as a face in the crowd, but what about her is special?

Despite the coloration I still find myself asking, "Which face?"

I bet this has been hammered for the selective saturation. It does look a little out of place, and Im not sure this is the best face in this crowd
