Wow, that is quite the crowd...and yep, there's the face. I'm curious to know where this is. I love the black and white.

Ana said 307 days ago:

took me a second, but there's the face! I would have worked on this to straighten it.

stolenlife said 306 days ago:

@flipthom. This is Trafalgar square in London. Possibly the best site (if not then certainly the most popular) for a few pigeons

flipthom said 306 days ago:

A few meaning more than the usual three, I presume. hee hee.

This is a very strange take and maybe need an explanation..
For sure makes me think of the Hitchcock's birds !
though just a bit dark - Well done and well executed.

stolenlife said 306 days ago:

Its a pretty straight forward explanation - I had nothing prepared for this theme - I was hoping light and shadow in architecture.. This was shot for the pigeons, not the face

A very nice image, a bit of a stretch on first look. The more I look the more I like...? I do think a little tighter framing might have more impact.

You had the same idea than me, I see :) Was it also in Venezia?
In any case, really good shot, though it also suffers from the "flaw" of not really having a face.

@Cheers nattfodd, Ive been waiting days for that final rating! I had nothing prepared for this theme (see above) and hooked this out to post in the hope of getting something this week. Sadly I havent captured anything better..
@ All: This theme seems to have been largely a total failure (maybe everyones just christmas shopping?) If the decline continues like this, you'll have to be first to post just to get enough ratings to find out what others thought..

stolenlife said 304 days ago:

@ nattfodd. Sorry forgot to add, just look in the bottom right corner...

Ana said 303 days ago:

Yes, it's getting quite sad here...the decline in people, interest and participation.

And no new theme....seems even the owner of the site has lost interest. Connection?

I wonder why the theme switch over isn't automatic?

nattfodd said 303 days ago:

@stolenlife: I actually had seen it but since it took me so long to find it, I considered it didn't really count ;)

And I agree WS is in a pretty sad state right now, though Christmas may be one of the reasons too. Maybe we should make reruns of old successful themes? The ones we had lately weren't so great imo.

stolenlife said 303 days ago:

@nattfodd Fair comment, he is a little hidden, but I felt the shadow line down the building led to him, but that may have been a little vague.
I dont know if rerunning old themes is the answer - maybe we're just not getting the right suggestions for new themes to fire the imagination of all the players. I feel that the carping about a lack of comments is driving those who dont comment much away (Im as guilty as any for this), but we need something to distinguish weekly from the likes of Vazzar, and need to build the 'community' for weekly back up. Maybe the discussion group os the place for this to continue, and get some more members involved?

Would cash prizes help...? :) I have tried to talk this site up, even invited a great photog, but I haven't seen him post yet. Maybe, till the traffic picks up Brandon could drop the number of ratings needed, didn't it used to be lower that 13, maybe 10 would work?
